Due to health reasons, Chaeyoung of Twice will be absent from the K-pop girl group’s “Ready to Be” performances in Bulacan on September 30 and October 1.

The group’s talent agency, JYP Entertainment, made this announcement in a statement that was made public on Friday, Sept. 29.

“We regret to inform you that Chaeyoung is unable to participate in the upcoming TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’ Bulacan concert due to health issues,” it read.

“We convey this unfortunate news with a heavy heart as we know everyone was eagerly anticipating the show,” it added. “We kindly request your understanding as this decision was made after much consideration to protect the health of the artist.”

The entertainment company praised ONCE, the girl group’s devoted following, for their unwavering support even though it did not immediately elaborate on Chaeyoung’s condition.

On Friday morning, the eight remaining members of Twice—Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, and Tzuyu—arrived in the nation.

The band Twice made their debut in 2015 and is most known for songs like “What is Love?”, “Fancy,” “Cry for Me,” “Cheer Up,” and other songs. As part of its “Twicelights” world tour, the female group last performed in the Philippines in 2019.
